Brasserie Azur Opens in Midtown Miami
The highly anticipated Brasserie Azur open it’s doors in Midtown Miami. From the creators of South Beach’s popular Villa Azur, designed by Francois Frossard and owned by Michael Martin and Jean Philippe Bernard. The new restaurant is in the former space of Mercadito at 3252 NE 1st Ave., leased by Midtown Equities. Co-owner Michael Martin said the owners kept the Mercadito’s kitchen but changed everything else about the space, which totals 5,000 SQ FT indoors and 1,000 SQ FT outdoors. Brasserie Azur Midtown Miami has 96 seats inside and 60 outside and it will offer lunch and dinner daily, as well as brunch on the weekends. The restaurant will also have happy hour from 4pm to 8pm on weekdays.
The modern interiors, designed by Francois Frossard include stone tabletops with rural benches and chairs. Walls and columns of exposed brick offset the Tuscan pergola ceilings laced with bougainvillea flowers.
The menu will feature dishes as butterflied whole grilled branzino with fennel and lemon, roast beef slices au jus served with homemade mashed potatoes, and chicken paillard marinated with lemon herbs, severd with arugula and cherry tomato salad. Desserts include pistachio macaron, tiramisu tart and caramelized meringue lemon tart. Brasserie Azur Midtown Miami is a must visit restaurant.
